Well, 10 hours of banging, pounding, jackhammering and $600 later, I almost have stairs and my kitchen back to the correct size.

I need to remember to take some pics....honestly, since we got home I've avoided that area as much as possible, because it made my blood boil every time I saw it.

I'm just praying now that the kitchen is complete before we leave. It's bad enough leaving MIL here alone with the kids because there's always drama. Which is why we don't leave them here very often.
this time will be better because Evan is old enough and responsible enough to take care of the others for a week...heck I was doing that when I was14.


I have an idea!! I should give the kids and mil one of your numbers to call and bother!!

I would love to see pics of your remodel! As for the phone contact, I would be glad to have the kids call and "bother" me, however, I can't stand talking to my own mil (who sounds quite a bit like yours) so please don't give HER the number.

yep, I've been kept abreast of the situation in the kitchen..one huge hole and funky staircase was removed and the floor redone, then another huge hole was made and the stairs will be finished this afternoon, which means I get to hear a nail gun all day.

I'm praying that it is done before we leave. Monday, hopefully, they'll start the tile.

First 2 line items in the grocery budget to get cut every January for quick and easy savings. Wine and dessert.

I think I have a problem with procrastination....I was sopposed to go to the laundromat on monday....but I put it off till tuesday....then wendsday......so here it was friday and I HAD to do it, otherwise we will be wearing pajama's ....comando style. Not a great way to send your kids to school.

D.jay and I made a trip to Walmart because I had to get laundry detergent since mine is somewhere in a shed, ok, and I'm too lazy to look for it. After our grocery shopping for things like hotdogs, chips and hot pockets ...basicaly if it's unhealthy and only needs a microwave, we bought it. I was standing at the check out thinking about how tired I am, when I got the great idea...tomorrows saturday!!

D.Jay was astonished when I announced that the trip to the laundromat could wait another day.

When we got home d.jay went to get the mail, I looked up from where I had flung poo on my car and was cleaning it off, when I saw it.....the blue envelope....Disney Mail!!

I sorta squealed and ran towards him yelling "WE GOT THE DISNEY MAIL", I don't think he had even realized it...the turd wouldn't let me open it.

but I was so happy after looking at our documents , I could have washed clothes all day.....but, It'll wait till tomorrow....or perhaps sunday...ohhhh, there's no school monday.....


Oh and my favorite guy in poo brown shorts delieverd my shoes! The skechers are ok , but my heel slips when I walk, so they're going back.
The merrell's are like walking on little clouds, on my left foot. Sadly, the other one which is still slightly mangeld from the surgery, is a little wider and thicker and the shoe pushed right on it...it's not bad but I know that a day in them would kill me.

so, I took it to my local cobbler (I've always wanted to say that) to see if it could be stretched......I'll know wends if it worked.

As for the house, the stairs are finished...and monday they will start on the kitchen.......

Oh, I forgot to explain that...one of my dear sweet little doxey's pooped on the side walk, so I grabbed the nearest thing I could...a stick...and in an effort to "swoop" it onto the stick , I flug the poo about 3 feet right onto the front of the car.
