When will Toontown and Pixie Hollow be closing?

I am taking my 3 year old son on his first Disney World trip this October! I heard that Pixie Hollow along with Toontown will be shutting down this fall. I will be in Disney the 2nd week of October. Does anyone know if it will be shut down by then?? My son tells me that the first thing he wants to do in Disney is give Tinkerbell a hug! Is there anywhere else in the park that you can meet Tink besides Pixie Hollow? thank you!

No one knows for sure, but I would say the chances Pixie Hollow will still be open are extremely high. Even if, I would guess Tink would be available somewhere.

I'm pretty sure it will still be open by then. No one has heard a for certain date on the closing, but I highly doubt it will be that soon. And when it does close, the fairies are moving to another park (the location has not been announced yet), so you would still be able to find her.

I have heard that Toon Town will not close until 2011 but no one knows for sure. I think you will be able to see Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow during your trip.
