When will the POP Century be completed?

Anybody know or hear rumors as to when the 00's to 40's will be completed at the POP??????

Last I heard is that Disney is not moving ahead at this time and that the buildings that are there need major structural refurbishment before construction begins to complete them.

When I first heard that Disney was doing such a big resort I was amazed on the number of rooms. The Classic Years which is the part that is open has 3,500 rooms. I'm not sure if there is a need to add another 3,500 rooms on the other side of the lake when you can still get a room at the other values for next month if you wanted to. However, I would love to see the original plan happen, because it would be awesome to have another resort like that. I love the Classic Years and I would love the Legendary years also.

oops! If they need a major structural referbishment....I wonder if the classic years do to?

No I believe because they were left half done for so long - some things needed to be done to the buildings before sheetrocking and that stuff. Not sure why, but I heard that they would have to do those repairs first.

As far as the Classic Years, their great. I loved this resort. Some people complain about hearing noise from the next rooms, but that didn't seem to be a big problem for me. I for one could only hope that they complete the Lengendary Years, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes I love it there too! I stayed there last July(70's), and again next month. As far as the noise level, I didnt think it was any better or worse than any other hotel I ever stayed in. Then again I grew up in NYC with the Dept of Sanitation on one end of the block and the Fire dept. on the other...So noise don't concern me at all. At the end of a long day at the parks...nothing can keep me awake!
However I REALLY would like to see the POP completed. The Plan is too stay in every decade!

It sure will all depend on the economy. If there is a strong reason to finish them, they sure will. I don't think things have gotten that much better, yet.
