Hi,

We are trying to schedule our IOA/USF day while on our trip to Orlando and want to make sure to go on a day that we can catch the Christmas Parade and Grinchmas. We will be arriving on Dec. 2nd and leaving on Dec. 8th. We were originally planning on going to IOA/USF on Dec. 3rd...should we wait till later in the trip?

When do they typically announce the dates of the Christmas events?

TIA!

Normally just after Halloween. They start the decorations and parade on Thanksgiving, from what I have seen.

They are bieng very vage on the Universal website on dates..

Historically...Christmas festivities start the first weekend of December. The decorations go up in early November.

Thanks, I guess I'll just keep checking their website as our trip gets closer. I'm trying to make ADR's at WDW based on what day I think we will be there.

Also...last year's concert series was:

Mannheim Steamroller on 12/5, Chris Isaak on 12/12 and Natalie Cole on 12/19.

The concerts are held at the Studios and are included in your park admission.

where exactly are the concerts held in the studios??? We were planning on our Universal day Sat 12/11, are the parks very crowded the whole day because of the concerts?? Thanks

The concerts are held inside the Studios at the new band shell...which is right in front of the Rockit coaster. The parks aren't really crowded because of the concerts but the concerts always attract lots of locals (like me) who come over just for the concert which makes for a crowded park.

Is my browser going wonky on me, or should I be seeing some dates of events when I click on that link? All I keep seeing is a photo of the Grinch, a few Macy's floats and a generic description of the holidays at Universal. I'm clicking on everything, and the only real dates for stuff going on is for HHN.

FWIW, I'm on an old Mac that doesn't play well with any new Flash.

Do you think Monday 12/6 would be a better day to go then Sunday 12/5?
You will a little less of a crowd on Monday but I doubt it would make a huge difference.

The dates for the Christmas festivities this season are 12/4 through 1/1.

I have the same issue, all I see is the Grinch picture, no dates for anything.

I am with the rest of you, I don't see any dates either, however does Grinchmas start on the 4th?? That would rock because we planned to spend that day at IOA all day and thought I would miss Grinchmas all together, when do they release the times of day for that?? Thanks a million.:goodvibes

everything was listed yesterday- concerts and dates but as of late last night was removed-perhapes they are making some additional changes

I am still not finding any dates or times, can someone please help. Thank You.:goodvibes

I guess the website is having some issues but again...Christmas activities start the first weekend of December (this year 12/4) but the show times will not be available until later...if then. They will definitely be on the park maps though. If the festivities are NOT starting on the first weekend of December this year, I would be shocked.

Thank you, we leave early on the morning of the 5th to come home so I was really hope we would get to see Grinchmas and it sounds like we will. Hopefully we will get to see the parade at Universal too but I am more into Grinchmas.:thumbsup2:santa:

Before they removed the information. They had announced the dates of breakfast with the grinch and announced that Manhiem (spelling) Stramroller would be performing a concert on each saturday, dec 4, 11 and 18.
