Yes. There was a clipboard involved so you know its official. My wife read something on the facebook that its october as well. Something about curtains being measured?
I saw that post on FB as well. The person who wrote it is a frequent traveler and poster. She admits it was 'weird', but who knows? Maybe an official proclamation from DVC will be forthcoming. My wife read something on the facebook that its october as well. Something about curtains being measured?
All of this 100%. That's why I added another 25 points last month. Not a big fan of having too many 2042 points, but BRV is the exception.I may be in a small group who loves our own private wing, the lobby with Walt's trains, the smell, the pool, the proximity to MK, the boat, Geyser point, Whispering Canyon, direct bus to FW.... I will never sell my contract. We worry so much about the refurb that we lose touch about why we bought in the first place. we did not buy for the rooms we bought because we love the resort. I am also frustrated with DVC's lack of communication and putting other resorts in front of ours but when (hopefully sooner than later) we get or new rooms at BRV will be better than ever! Although I am pissed about all that has happened since our long delay. Every time we roll our eyes at the next DVC venture they some how pull it off. Soon we who still own there will be glad we did so and will be able to read post about others who are stressing about their resorts refurb instead of ours. Disney please just do what is right and announce it already!
Agree. If I ever add on at a 2042 resort, it will be BRV.All of this 100%. That's why I added another 25 points last month. Not a big fan of having too many 2042 points, but BRV is the exception.
Yeah, that’s why I’ve added on in a couple of 25 point increments lately. Just enough to accommodate changing needs and adjusting point charts. I mean, I have 200 points there now, and 150 at SSR, but the majority of the BRV points aren’t new.Agree. If I ever add on at a 2042 resort, it will be BRV.
It'll be October...that's when we are going. I'm waiting to see what happens, but I'd lay odds. I was going to see what else was available at the 7 month mark, but my husband and I talked and we just love where BRV is. I also like the layout of the 2 bedroom lock off for our planned group. So we stayed put...but I have a sneaking feeling it'll be when we are there they will be remodeling. There are still BR rooms available to book for cash on the Disney site for all of October, so may not be accurate. But who knows??? It is way past due. I was hoping before our August stay.
Those rooms and carpet have been done since last year. They were the test rooms shown by another instagram user. In his post he even shows a peak inside the room.Saw this update on Instagram today! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CcWfrFigy_3/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
Update us if you see anything when you are there please! Our Brv family is dying to see what they are doing over there. It'll be October...that's when we are going. Yeah, that was weird. A big chunk of their YouTube channel is dedicated to DVC room tours/reviews, including BRV. Now, their reviews at the resort are now several years old, but you'd think with DVC (and specifically DVC rooms) being a big part of their content, that they'd at least be aware of those test rooms, and that they have been sitting there since 2021.Those rooms and carpet have been done since last year. Likely just doing it for "engagement"Yeah, that was weird. A big chunk of their YouTube channel is dedicated to DVC room tours/reviews, including BRV. I follow them, and they were at BRV at Christmas but were super busy. But other than that, I don't think they've been at BRV since 2021. So they may not have known, or had just heard of it and went to go see. I didn't hear about it until Nov/Dec 2021 when I was working to book for this year. And I thought oh, yea!, the remodel will be soon. And then it didn't start, and instead Poly villas, then GFV all got refurbs and new villasYeah, that was weird. Totally understandable. It seems, especially with Disney content creators, and even more specifically, those who place an extra focus on DVC, that some random guest could get one burnt Mickey Waffle at Ohana, post it on their Instagram, and 50 Youtubers would be chasing the "Secrets of the declining food at Ohana revealed! Is it worth the price anymore?" story.I follow them, and they were at BRV at Christmas but were super busy. But other than that, I don't think they've been at BRV since 2021. Well, if it's true they were measuring curtains in another room along with this, maybe, just maybe, they are getting the ball rolling. Hope springs eternal I guess...I asked Here with the Ears on FB about this post, actually I said that carpet and the red doors has been there for a year or more. (a guess) And they responded that people were going in and out of those specific rooms with clipboards.
