When will panelists return to the studio?

Curious as to when the DIS Unplugged will return to having all panelists inside the studio? I have noticed that typically Pete and one producer is inside the studio and the rest of the panelists are still dialing in remotely despite all pandemic restrictions having been lifted. I miss the old days of having all the panelists inside the studio, the chemistry sparked by having the panelists in-person simply cannot be replicated in a virtual environment. When will this return?

I actually think the remote setup has worked well and wonder why they need to return to the studio. The remote setup also enables additional people to be guests on the shows.

I think with everyone being in studio it adds to the chemistry of the show and you get a much more lively/fluid/funny conversation.

Where is Deni ?
I was just wondering this today, seems like she hasn’t been on anything in a couple weeks.

Agreed! Not to mention the technical issues that arise with multiple panelists dialing in virtually, panelists speaking over each other, awkward pauses, etc... All of this would be resolved with having all the panelists back in the studio, plus I love the new brick walled background in the studio!

If you look at the Pete unboxing the wish gift you see some background I actually thought the studio was bricked lol it’s wallpaper

Interesting, it really does look like real brick lol, I wonder why he changed the background of the studio..

I can't say specifically when, but we will be returning soon. The studio is currently set up to accommodate three people right now. You could technically get 4 in, but by that point the person furthest away from Pete is like 14 feet away and that makes it difficult so now it's just tweaks and adjustments to get back to being in the studio. It hasn't been an immediate priority, because we were more concerned about all of our team getting vaccinated first and now that everyone is we can start focusing on moving forward. Doing it virtually isn't perfect, but it gives us time to work on the studio without having to cancel shows.

As for the backgrounds, Pete got involved in YouTube heavily this year and wanted his sets to look more like what he was seeing on videos he was watching and that's how the backgrounds/decor came about.

As for Deni, she is currently off work. While most of the team struggles to take time off and/or fit vacation in, we all technically do get time off from work if we want and it's not mandatory to share. As we talk about in today's Off the Rails episode, I'm the only person for the company who's primary job is shows and the production of them, so everyone else might not be on everything all the time even if they are mainstays. She is off and she will be back soon.

For me, Pete could sit in front of a blank wall and I would still watch the show. :mic:
I hope that Deni and her family are doing well and am looking forward to see her back on the show gain.
Thank you, the DIS Unplugged team, for all that you do!!

Thank you Craig for the response! Makes sense, definitely looking forward to that day when panelists are back in the studio. Thank you for all that you do and for being such awesome producer!
