When will Expedition Everest be ready?

Latest info says it will be open in the Spring, but that's about as specific as I've seen. I would imagine they'll try to have it open by Easter if not sooner... and there are usually some previews for a month or two ahead of time.

Anyone have any recent construction photos of EE?
I was reading that Disney is categorizing EE as a "family" coaster, which means that although it's steepest drop is 100 feet (double the drop of Splash Mtn!!!), most of the ride will be non-thrill/story related and nowhere near the thrill factor that RNRC is. They are also saying that they expect the height restriction to be 44" and no harness system will be required, just a simple lap bar. Can't wait!!

My family and I are going in late Jan./ early Feb. We really hope that they have at least Annual Passholder previews by then. They said that EE might open on Earth Day (Animal Kingdom's Birthday). I hope it's open when we go!

I hope it will be a "family" coaster; then my dd can ride it!

We did take some photos of Mt.E and the tracks coming out and going in look pretty close to spiral shaped!! It travels across a bridge type platform into the mountain and comes out again at some point!! Looked like it would be a very good thrill ride!! They look to be getting close to finishing the mountain structure. The signs all say spring of 2006. I will try to post some photos later today.

Just returned from trip this past weekend and someone asked a CM prior to MK opening one morning when it would be open and he said the last they were told is they would start doing CM trials in January. Then he laughed and said they always try a new ride out on CM's first in case something is wrong with it. Looks like it might be sooner than we think!

I hope what he said is true. Maybe they will start soft openings at the end of Jan. I hope so! I really would like to ride it before the trip ends.
