for Jan. 2006. How can I make my ressies for breakfast if I don't know how early the parks open. I would like to get breakfast ressies for MK and can make my ressies starting Oct. 26th. Will the hours be announced by then or will the restaurants at least know how early they will be serving? :confused3

That's an excellent question. I don't understand this, but it seems Disney only posts park hours along with EMH at most 2 months in advance. This was very aggrevating as I was planning my Honeymoon this past May (luckily with only 2months notice we were able to get the PS we wanted). It was aggrevating again when I was planning my trip at the end of the month b/c they didn't post the Oct hours until mid-August. However, Disney tells you to make PS up to 90 days in advance. Turns out, that's pretty impossible to do w/o knowing the hours. So, if I were to guess, you probably won't be able to get the EMH or park hours for that time until, at the earliest, the beginning of November. :sad2:

I make my 90 day (90+10 if staying onsite) ADRS based on my best guess using current EMH. Then when they publish I try to do some quick switching around. When EMH mornings get set earlier times open for the breakfast places (or at some point shortly after, but I think they happen at the same time) so if you call right away you have a pretty good chance. So far I have been very luckey.

The year I HAD to have a CRT breakfast for my daughter I just booked an ADR (PS) everyday I could get one (3 out of 8 daysI tried for) and then cancelled the extras once hours came out. That works too. Too much effort for most ADR as there are always more places I want to eat than I have time for.

The parks almost always open at 9 except for the emh mornings and during peak holiday times. The restaurants with the characters in the MK (I'm assuming that those were the restaurants you wanted) start seating as early as 8:05 everyday..you are allowed early entry if you have a reservation prior to park opening, so book what you want at 90 days and you won't have to worry about opening times. As far as emh is concerned, here is the normal schedule they use..with some times of the year varying slightly.
SUN- MGM PM
MON- Epcot AM
TUE- MGM AM; AK PM
WED- MK PM
THU- Epcot PM
FRI- MK AM
SAT- AK AM

Epcot is typically 9-9 year round except for during Candlelight.
Animal Kingdom is typically 9-5 or 6 that time of year.
MGM usually 9-7:30 or 8:30.
MK the same but sometimes later (9 pm-ish) Fridays and Saturdays.

The AM emh is one hour early and the PM is 3 hours late. Hope this helps!
