When will Disney give their people the right info and tools?

I will begin by saying that I love Disney. However, when it comes to their people handling reservations, it seems like they are either under-trained, or they are not given the tools that you would expect them to have.

Here is my latest example.....I am within the 180 day window for my November trip. I called tonight to get two reservations --- Fantasmic Dinner Package and Hoopdee Doo Review. After spending 15 minutes on the phone with the guy and being told that reservations were not available for every day/time I requested, I said "Can you ask your manager if these events are even in the system yet?" After first telling me that "of course" they are in the system since it is within the 180 day window, he finally sought help.

He came back a minute later and told me that the Hoopdee Doo Review is not in the system yet despite it being within the 180 day window. I didn't bother asking him to look up the Fantasmic Dinner Package to see if that also wasn't in the system, as I figured I'd get the same answer.

This is about 10th time that I have seen something like this. I realize that there are a lot of restaurants, but considering Hoopdee Doo and Fantasmic are two of the prime experiences, you'd think that someone in the chain of command would make sure that each reservation agent had information regarding when those reservations were going to be added to the system. I actually had to prove to the guy that I was correct by having him look up dates later this month: "Why would reservations be available for every date this month, yet not a single reservation is available for five months from now?"

My issue is not with the guy. He seemed like a good dude. Rather, my issue is with Disney, which should be able to streamline something as simple as this.

OK, rant over. I feel better now, lol.

When are you trying to go to Hoop-de-doo ? I't could be going through a rehab.I was trying to get a cape may res. at the beginning of Aug and it wasn't showing in the system for that reason. That could be the reason it is not showing up.

I agree. I cant tell you how many times, I have told the CM on the phone how to do something. Just the last trip I booked FD, and booked the first day it came out. Then a few days later, they changed the check-in dates because I think they realized that it was too close to spring break. Anyways, I actually wanted the earlier dates, that were the NEW dates. I called to change my dates. He kept telling me it wasnt available for that date. I finally told him he had to change the code because they had to deactivate the old one and there was a new one. I was put on hold.......yup, I was right. But I have had MANY experiences that I knew more than they did!!! I also noticed that if you dont get an answer, just hang up and call back, because every one of them will tell you something else.
