When will Canada's Wonderland open up?

Little upset about CW right now. They are blasting the Gov about not being able to open. Every other business has been great and understanding about being very cautious about when and how to open. The Gov right now does not see having lots of people at a park as safe. How is one supposed to keep a mask on while screaming on a rollercoaster. That is loads of droplets coming out. Not sure if you want to be at the back of a coaster as the front person is spewing out of their mouth. Yumm...Yes I know its a hardship to be closed, but lets be responsible.
I can see their side of it. La Ronde is open in Montreal, so why can't they open? I don't think they are opening anyways. Not enough people are interested in going. The US parks show that to be the case.

Has anyone heard anything about how La Ronde has been? Cancelling two Disney trips this fall sucks. I was hoping to bring my family to La Ronde, but part of me is still nervous.

My family was planning on going there this weekend but opted to go to Collingwood and ride the alpine coaster. From what I have heard is its really dead like all parks have been.

I have been told that all ride ops have been laid off for the season. If Wonderland does open they will just have food fests

I didn't know that place still existed. Live near the Fort Erie border and never hear anyone ever mention it.

They just added a world class dive coaster last year. I'm surprised you never heard of it.

You'd think they'd do some advertising for Wonderland in upstate New York. But maybe Cedar Parks wants you to go to Cedar Fair instead. Same number of coasters, no border crossings.

Haven't heard any negative news regarding La Ronde. I'll try to ask my friends who have a season pass if they went. Waterparks in QC were allowed to open a few weeks ago (I believe at 25% occupancy) and no case has been reported to be linked to them. Our case numbers are relatively low (10x less per day than what they were in April) and Public Health has said that they are now able to do adequate tracing. Most cases are now linked to bars (rules had to change) and big private partys. In our burrough, they close all the municipal pools because the lifeguards had a big party with no social distancing and one tested positive. So all were tested and the pools have been closed since (over 2 weeks ago). Luckily, no user of the pools has tested positive (special mobile testing units came to the neighbourhood).

Just reading this now as big kid 18 was hoping wonderland wouldn’t open. We agreed thi our last visit the park was overcrowded with teenagers clearly on seasons passes that’s basically babysitting half the GTA for the summer.
i have teens so I’m not trying to give teens a bad rap here but no way those crowds would listen to a fellow teen worker telling them to socially distance .
Just my thoughts
