When will 2006 open up?

I want to make sure and get a specific cabin on the Western in Feb 2006.

Anyone know when that opens up so I can get it reserved?

Since they just opened up the latter part of 2005 a week or two ago, I would say that the first part of 2006 will be open up sometime this summer. I think I read somewhere that they usually open up about 18 months out.

I think they need to get the rest of the 2005 cruises up first (specifically the Magic from May - Sept 2005) before they can start posting 2006.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2005 balance is posted in May 2004, after the DL 50th anniversary celebration announcement. Then a month or two later the early 2006 dates might start creeping up....

Creeping up....YUP! That's what it does and I start getting nervous when I am only two cruises booked ahead!!!!

Gotta love the search function! I was about to post about 2006 date too?

I figured they need to announce the rest of 2005 before they move onto 2006. I was wondering if there is a chance they might open the beginning of 2006 at the same time that they announce the rest of 2005. But I guess if this is going to be a special announcement that they might wait to announce 2006 afterward! I guess I just have to keep watching like everyone else!

Me too. I usually book as soon as they open the even years. People think I'm crazy booking 18 months in advance. I have two friends who are waiting for the summer 2005 and I am trying to keep my eyes open for them. They are both teachers and don't want to go other than the summer time. I didn't realize that they had opened the fall of 2005--that is really strange.

I'm really hoping BF wont want his entire family to go...I dont know how I feel about that.
So, I'm hoping that maybe with any luck...I'll get a booking in the same room we were in and it will be reasonable...with a reasonable amount of time to save for spending...that is if BF doesnt want to do an alaskan cruise before another DCL...but he even said-he doesnt want to be on another ship...so we will see...

I think even years for DCL is a good plan! Maybe I'll stick to that!

I just called and DCL said that they have 7 nights Jan - May 7 and Sept -December available to book.
Don't know if that is helpful or not to any of you but I wanted to share.

I just called DCL and was told the same thing. you can book the 7 day before and after the summer.

They have the few summer months unavailable, lending weight that they are planning to move the Magic for the summer then return it to Florida.
