and decide to purchase. Do we have to give the full downpayment right then and there? Or can we give just a deposit to secure we get the point rate before June 2nd and pay the rest (of DP) in a couple of weeks?
Thanks for your help...

Origanaly, in Feb we bought our VWL points. At that time they wanted $500 down, in full.
When we added on VB in this May, they wanted a 10% down, in full.
I am not sure if the down payment difference was due to a policy change, or because it was an add-on.
Ask your guide, as I have "heard" that as long as the process has started by that date, you are okay for the lower price. I am not really sure how true that is.

I don't know all the rules, but I recently asked a similar question of my sales guide. I was told that all I needed to do to lock in the lower price is to complete the sales 'worksheet' on the phone (giving them the names and number of points wanted, etc.) and putting down at least $500. This is for my first DVC purchase, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Best bet to know for sure is to ask your guide about your circumstances. But, I don't blame you for posting the question, especially with it being the long holiday weekend. I know I am overly anxious with every little question that comes up.

We just bought an add on at Vero and they are now requiring that 10% be put down in cash or credit card. We bought 100 points so we had to put down $750 right away even though we did the $10 buy back. They didn't allow us to use it as part of the 10% down. But they did count is as part of the down payment for financing so we were able to use the lower interest rate for putting 20% or more down. Hope that makes sense.
