When was your first visit to the World?

1986, as a 13 year old with my family & a friend's family. We stayed in the Ft. Wilderness cabins & went to the only two parks at the time, MK & EPCOT.

Second: 2010, with DH & DD, who was 5 at the time. We stayed at CR, atrium club level. This was the first trip for them, and might as well have been my first trip for what little I remembered from the first one! I planned that trip for two years and it was well worth it. DH said we'd go once and that's it; before we left, I think he'd already changed his mind!

Third: We're going back this October with two other families, all pulling our campers to Ft. Wilderness campground. This should be an adventure!

My mom brought me in 1983 when I was a baby, the first trip I remember is 1992!

My very first visit was my first birthday princess:. I spent my first 5 birthday's visiting the world. I didn't go again unitl I was 14. I spent one day in MK when I was 16. I am counting down to Christmas 2014 when I get to introduce my kids the the Mouse :cool1:

Our first visit was 2005,so I'm a newbie.
Was supposed to be 2004,but I needed surgery and we had to postpone.

I wasn't even bothered about making the trip.
Didn't fancy the long haul flight (we're in the UK),but as soon as we hit main street as I was hooked.:cool1:

We've been 9 times since.
trip number 11 in 28 days,and number 12 in August 2014.:thumbsup2

1991 - With nothing but off-site hotel reservations and a borrowed Birnbaum book. We didn't have tickets, park hours, or priority seating for meals. Just a wonderful carefree vacation! We ate one meal in the parks...Cinderella's Castle!

My first visit was the summer of 1983. It was my dad, mom, sister, and my 6 month old brother, along with my grandmother and aunt. MK and Epcot were the only 2 parks to visit, which I thought the only thing cool about Epcot was FW because it had rides, other then that I didn't care for it at all....fast forward to when I'm an adult, Epcot is one of my favorite parks now because I love WS :goodvibes. We stayed at the Polynesian Resort and also went to River Country.

Now the first visit with my DH and both DDs was September 2005 and we have gone every year ever since :goodvibes.

Shortly after the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971 when I was in high school in Coral Gables. Since I had been to Disneyland several times in the early 1960s when I was in elementary school in San Gabriel CA, I convinced my friends that it was not to be missed! So we drove to Tampa and stayed with an Aunt and Uncle of one of my high school friends.

My first visit to the MK was 1977, I was 2 years old and I remember it! There was only one park, we stayed at the Contemporary as there not many hotels back then to stay within maybe the Poly that's it. I can't think of the characters name but the heavy pirate from Peter Pan with the striped shirt white hair and glasses along with Goofy were water skiing in the water of the Contemporary, my second visit was 2 years later still just the MK, then in 1988 we were looking at the pictures the other day of Epcot had double decker buses in England then again in 1996, then again 2010, 2011, and 2012 back again August 18th with my DS 13, it has truly changed since I first started going!

October 1971.

I was 3 months old. Never realized my parents did cool stuff like that.

August 1974...my parents, brothers and I would drive down from Nova Scotia. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in the orange groves in Clermont. We would do 2 days (only Magic Kingdom, of course). The booklets had A-E tickets. We did this for 4 more years til the parents bought a cottage closer to home :confused3

I remember seeing Goofy water skiing as we rode the ferry to MK first thing in the morning! I also remember the Mickey hot air balloon floating high above. Both of those were from one of our trips in the 1990s.

Do any of you remember Discovery Island (originally "Treasure Island") in Bay Lake? It required a separate ticket and we took a boat from the Poly (I think) to get there. There was a self-guided walking trail which featured all sorts of wildlife.

1989, I was 7 and we stayed at the Fort Wilderness cabins :) many day trips since then as we moved when I was 9 to Orlando.
2011 for DLR with my own kids!

Disney World, first trip 1976 and every year (at least once, sometimes two or three times) since. Except 2013--taking this year off. Always offsite until 1988

Disneyland, my first and only trip, was in 1987 or 1988

My first trip was the summer of 1976. We did a one day visit to Magic Kingdom (which is all there was) staying off site. I remember the ticket books, hating the haunted mansion, and loving 20,000 leagues. The parades had the 1776 Bicentennial theme, and the film/photos from then are still some of my favorites of my parents photos.

I took my wife on her first trip in 1996 on our honeymoon and we have been back 7 times since !:woohoo:

WDW - Our honeymoon in February/March 2009. :bride: :groom:
DLR - April 1999. Trip with my high school choir for the "Magic Music Days" program. I was in love with Disney from the moment I saw the castle :)
