I was at Disney Nov 14-21 in 2005, we had the free dining plan (I checked mousesavers and they indicate it wasn't available at this time). So I was wondering does anyone know when the free dining was available in 2006? I'm wanting so bad to go back and would really like to visit again in Nov. Of course I really need the free dining or something comparable to make the trip. Were there any discounts in Nov of 2006?

I was afraid of that. I guess I'll just have to play the waiting game like everyone else!

The period during which free dining would be offered for 2007 has already been, substantially, established. From the Dining Plan FAQ:
For the UK/European residents offer, the free dining promotion had to be booked between August 25 and November 6, 2006. The free dining promotion has also been offered to guests while on-site at WDW if staying at Disney resort hotels during December 2006. The free dining promotion applies for arrivals starting August 5 (for the bounce-back offer) or August 12 (for the UK/European offer), through September 29, 2007. There is no indication, one way or another, whether free dining will be offered to other targeted groups and/or to the general public.

2006 free dining was from 8/13-9/29 or 30. Free dining was offered to the UK for 8/5-930 2007 these are the same dates for the bounce back package that was offered for guest staying in Nov & Dec 06. I would venture to say if they offer it again this year these will be the same dates.

Recently a pin code was out I am not sure if it still is available through disney that was for 40% you may want to call disney directly to find out if it applies or is still available for you this rate was for certain amount of time each month.

Not neccessarily (I think thats how you spell it, its still early) last year the Free dining was offered for 2006 from I believe it started in April but could have been as early as March 1st and the last day to book was June 3rd and on June 3rd they extended the date to June 29th.

I think you misunderstood what I wrote. I was saying that the period during which people getting free dining this year was, substantially, established (i.e., for arrivals starting August 5 or August 12, through September 29, 2007). I wasn't talking about when it would be able to be booked.

I can't find anyplace that refers to the 2005 Free Dining that WAS extended through Nov because I received it. Just hoping that the free dining could get extended this year. I'm calling tomorrow to see if by some chance I have a discount offer.

I have never heard that people got the free dining in November of any year. I know November was not part of the promotion either in 2005 or 2006; I'm not sure how you would have gotten it??

Does anyone know how many days of park tickets you have to buy to get the dining plan? If I am able to use my AP and ony get one or two days of tickets it would be a great deal for us. Even paying rack rate it would be cheaper to pay for th resort then use our DVC and pay for dining!

We got the free dining with the bounceback program this year and have only bought 1 day tickets for each person as I have an AP, we have some old PH tickets to use up etc. Those who need longer tickets can upgrade them once they get to the resort and you don't have to upgrade them for everyone. The CM who did my reservation said he wasn't sure if it would be offered to the general public since there had been so many packages booked for both the UK and bounceback offers. Only time will tell. I would think that there may be some cancellations and that may change their numbers such that they will offer it again.

We also got in on the free dining promotion in Sept 2006 and were/are hoping that it is again offered. However, we finally booked our August 2007 trip a few days ago not wanting to wait to hear if it was being offered or not. We really needed to get our vacation times submitted at our workplaces. We did add in the dining plan and are willing to pay for it since it is such a good deal for our family of five (all considered "adults"). The customer service person who booked us said that they have no information if free dining would be offered again this year but that if it was or if another special promotion was offered we could modify our existing reservation so we are hoping for that. Maybe I am being pessimistic but it seems like the hotels are really filling up for mid-August already and Disney may see no need to offer free dining to draw people in...:(

We could not book at the All Star Music Suites as they were full and also could not get a five person room at Port Orleans - Riverside. So we are staying at Pop Century in two rooms.

I am happy we are going but sure hope a great promotion comes our way!! :cheer2:

I took advantage of free dining the past 2 years and they have me hooked on the dining plan even if I have to pay...

I was expecting free dining to be offered again, but then the whole 40% "best weeks to visit Disney code came out". Another poster mentioned that WDW usually doesn't offer the same plan more than 2 years in a row - that has been true in the past few years.

I have a feeling (and ONLY speculating) that the 40% off code that is supposedly a pin rate will be offered as the discount this year to everyone. That opens up booking for ALL the slow weeks – not just Aug and Sept. They already have free dining offered to the UK visitors and as a "bounce back" promotion for Aug and Sept.

Free dining would still be cheaper for us at 2A and 3 Considered Adult Children by about $300 over the 40% off room rate, BUT we are not locked in to going during the time free dining is traditionally offered.
