I guess you would say hi. I would say hi to anyone on dis. I'd be like hey, I'm chrisisbuckwild from dis, I'd probrably say it at a distance, it depends, so what do you all do

I didn't see any LGMH last time I was at the parks (and no, I didn't have one myself) and there were far too many people wearing lime green for me to believe they were all DISers.

I am usually too focused on my own good time to look around for other people I might possibly recognize from an Internet message board.

Last December I ran into a DISer and said "HI". I had been reading her pre-trippie, knew we were both staying at BWV and recognized her sitting on a bench. I walked up and asked "Are you Donna?" Told her who I was and we chatted for awhile. It was fun :goodvibes

Same trip I had someone walk up to me and start a conversation because he saw my DISunplugged shirt. He listened to the podcast too :cool1:

I have my LGMH on my fanny pack & lanyard, so if you see me come say "Hi!"

I actually made a button for this exact purpose LOL. Going to put it on my backback so if anyone you see an extravagant button with a lime green mickey head on a black backpack.. PLEASE stop and say hello LOL

I've said hi to a few dissers and not because of the LGMHs. We actually started talking before we knew we were fellow Dissers.

We were waiting in line for the bus back to POP from Epcot and got to talking to a couple of people in line ahead of us. We were talking about the resort, etc and they suggested a "great website for info" called "Disboards".

I saw a fellow Diser on the boat over to HS. I was going to say :wave2: , but I knew that DW would just die of embaressment.:confused3

I had a LGMH on mt backpack and a woman on the bus recognized me...and I saw a couple other Dissers and said Hi, it was great!

you could always give them the adopted Disser sign-the Focker sign (from the movie Meet the Fockers)

I ran into 2 Dissers on my trip last week. The first just overheard me talking behind her in line for the Carousel and turned and started talking so we talked all through the line. It was very cool meeting someone from here! Then I also met someone else at the Lion King show in AK waiting for the show to start. Again, it just came up in conversation so we talked for a while. I don't know if I would just walk up and approach someone but I did really enjoy talking with both of these ladies!

I see and meet up with folks from here all the time, always fun meeting new people. :thumbsup2

I've run into lots of DISers in the parks. Most have been very friendly and a bit surprised. I did run into a couple when I was there a week or so ago.
I will say that there have been times when they have reacted exactly as cguill said....they looked away as if they didn't want to be bothered. So....my question...if you don't want to run into other DISers, why the LGMH hanging off your backpack?? There is nothing worse than being embarrassed by being ignored or spoken to harshly. And yes, I did have one person say this to me...I saw her many LGMHs, in line at Soarin', I went up to her, and said hi, I was on the DIS also. Her response??? "Yeah? That's nice." and she turned away and ignored me.
But, I still persist in saying hi to other LGMH wearers!!! I love running into other DISers.

The funniest story I ever read on the DIS was about a DIS'er who saw someone holding a bag with the LGMH. He (she) made the Focker sign at them from a distance and the guy who was holding the bag looked shocked and a little frightened. Turned out-he was holding the bag for his wife, who was a DIS'er (he was not). I am paraphrasing and am sure I got some details wrong, but I could just visualize this in my head and still laugh about it!!:lmao:

I'm new to the dis boards but my DW has been on for awhile. We will be sporting our LGMH when we arrive in less than 2 weeks. So all you other dissers please feel free to say hello. There aren't other sites like this that can help so many other people out with making memories for their families. So please feel free to say hello.

That would be my luck. My DH doesn't have a clue about this stuff! He of course thinks I'm nuts. He doesn't mind benefiting from the knowledge I gain here though! :confused3

I know I"m naive but what is the Focker sign?

I am in the same boat. We will be arriving on Friday and my DH thought I was crazy for making a LGMH pin to put on my bag.

But he is the first person to offer me up when he hears someone is planning a vaca to Disney!
