I am waiting on my virgin holidays tickets, we leave in 2 weeks 2 days. When should I really worry that they haven't arrived yet? I really hate the waiting.

If you are staying onsite I woudln't worry at all, Disney will add the tickets to your room key, they will have all the details from Virgin.

Don't I need the flight tickets?

Not as far as I know, not been with Virgin for almost 2 years but all other airlines I have been with for past couple of years I just hand in passports, can't imagine Virgin as so behind the times to still require a ticket.
If you are worried give them a few more days then ring them.

I wouldn't worry just yet, I'm going 2 weeks 2 days also and haven't received my flight tickets yet either (though I'm flying TC not VA). I know they've been dispatched though, just waiting for them to arrive. I'd give it 'til Friday then ring. :goodvibes

Thankyou :) I am getting excited and stressed out at the same time if you know what I mean lol.

I have to admit, I have some experience of that feeling .... ;) What I have learnt though is that if you are worried, rather phone and get the information. It is all very well to wait a few days, but if it is bothering me I now rather pick up the phone, get some answers and then I know where I stand. :)

I think when we went last time I went to the self check in and had to swipe my passport(could be wrong) or put my passport number in. Didnt need the e-ticket which I had guarded with my life for months.
My details havnt come from disney UK yet and I started a thread earlier on this. I would phone them but as others have said you will be ok. Your name will be on the system for the flight. Just remember your passport:scared1:

That is correct. If there is self check in you scan your passport. No tickets required. Just be advised that not all airports and not all airlines offer self check in. With some it is compulsory if flying economy and optional for higher classes and for others it is not available. Also checking into Disney resorts they only ask for a form of ID from the lead guest.

Thanks for the info, if nothing is received by the weekend I will give them a call. Xxxx

We diodnt need tickets when we flew in December with Virgin. Like Wayne said we just handed over our passports and they found the booking that way.

Same with SSR, when my Grandparents checked in they didnt ask for anything other than the Surname and all was found ok, their tickets and DDP were added straight to their room card :)

I just called them and the lovely gentleman on the phone said from the system he can see that they left their office today and they should arrive tomarrow or saturday :) Thanks for the help and like some of you said if in doubt or worried phone, so glad i did :cool1:

Looking forward to seeing your dancing smilies in your next post - when you tell us that they have arrived!!!!

I'm still waiting too. Only 10 days to go and still no tickets. Called the agent who still haven't had them from Virgin so goodness knows when I will get them. I've had the same problem for the last 2 years. Each time I've had to call Virgin and chase them up as the agent has left it too late. Got the tickets the day before each time, once the post man lost them too the day before and had to help him search the post office to find them:eek:. Last time Virgin told me I would have to pay them £25 to collect them from the airport- They weren't getting another penny I can tell you. This doesn't help my stress levels! I know I can check in without them and that the information about my booking will be sent to the relevant hotels but as I book up to 12 months in advance and pay on time 12 weeks before I don't think it's too hard to send me a small packet of information so that I don't have to worry that all the different componants of my trip will be right. This time we have the flight , 2 hotels, 2 sets of park passes and DDP. It would be soooo easy to mess something up- I know I could sort it out but don't want my well earned holiday time taken up in that way. We have had problems before when we had the tickets and vouchers:headache: Goodness knows how long it would take to sort out without them. Fingers crossed they arrive in time.:goodvibes

Just to update everyone my tickets etc arrived yesturday, so happy.

We got an e-ticket type ticket instead of the paper tickets in the past so thats new to me. Also i haven't received any luggage tags but doing a search it seems many airlines nolonger send out luggage tags, is this true?

No, it is not normal for airlines to send out luggage tags - they are usually rubbish anyway. ;)

Glad your tickets arrived. So you're about ready to go now?!
