When To Wake Up

I've been working on getting my 2 kids up between 6:30 and 6:45 the last few days, and figure if we can all get in the habit of that, instead of 7am for getting ready for school, that will be no big deal when we hit Disney in June! I have out plan where I want us all to be at the bus stop at 7:30am at the latest, because if we miss the bus, and have to wait, it's not a big deal. Realistically, and because Grandma is coming for a few mornings, I know it might be more like 7:40 before we all are there together, but we are sure going to try!!

We are a grab some snacks and eat in line sort of people. Applesauce packs, granola bars, goldfish crackers, trail mix, etc. We always do lunch around 11, so that works well for us.

Everyone else I travel with sleeps really late on vacation. I shower the night before and lay out my clothes and park bag so I don't make noise in the morning.

I'm low maintenance (short hair and don't wear makeup), so I can get out the door about 10 minutes after I wake up.

Does it normally take over an hour to get to the parks if you take the bus? Would taking an Uber be quicker?

Depends on many factors. Today it was about 35 minutes POR to Epcot including bus wait time. Yesterday it was about 15 minutes because the bus was right there.

How long it takes to accomplish the morning routine differs from family to family. That said, our go-to "rule" is to leave our room 70 minutes before park opening. This is staying at Pop and using Disney transportation.

It really depends which resort you're at and where at the resort you are.

Uber would generally be quicker.

6:30 if you're sitting down for breakfast, 7:00 for us most days, 6:45 if we think we're gonna hit the snooze button lol.
-Wake up, we get ready while we eat breakfast in the room (uncrustables, bagels, yogurt snack type foods, nothing that's hot) head down to the bus stop, on the bus by 8:00 for a 9:00 opening!

I think it depends on the ages of your kids if you are taking any with you. More people to get through the shower, brush teeth, etc takes a little while.
