Hello All,
All things considered, which would be the better time to visit FW, sometime in October before Halloween or in early November. This will be our first time to stay there, which time would you chose ?? Thanks for any help...

We have been both times. For me, either time was very nice, and good weather. If you go just before Halloween you can see the Fort decor,,if you can hold off til as late as Thanksgiving, the Fort and WDW set up the X-mas decor.

October used to be very low crowds, but since MNSSHP started, that has changed. Lowest crowds for this time would be between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also keep in mind that hurricane season is still in force during October. We have had our vacation affected by this a couple of times in October.

There is NOT a better time to be at Disney than Halloween. Last year was our first MNSSHP and WILL NOT be our last!:thumbsup2 It was more fun than we even imagined!
With that being said, the crowds during October will be worse than the first of November. If you go in Oct. stay away from Columbus Day weekend and the week after. Keep in mind alot of schools have Fall break around Columbus weekend or the middle of the month, so I would suggest going toward the end of October to avoid this. We went the week after Col. Day last year and were soooo surprised at the crowds! We hope to go back(not this year-if we go it will have to be Nov.) and will do so toward the end of October.
If you go in Nov. you will have light crowds, cooler weather-Oct. can be SOOOO HOT!:scared1: but more than likely you won't see any holiday decorations(Halloween or Christmas).
With all of that said, I would go whenever I could and HAVE A BLAST!:)

I agree Halloween at the Fort is great!

This year will be the first time we've been at WDW and FW for either Halloween or Thanksgiving and we got them both covered and I'm psyched. Probably won't do MNSSHP since it's just us ole two fogies now, but other than that I'm looking forward to this new to us experience.

Oct. for decorations.
Nov. for smaller crowds.

I'll offer another alternative - late November, early December for Christmas , although we're going mid November

Don't let that stop you from going. Pack a costume before you leave and ya'll go enjoy yourselves. I thought it was the most fun I had the whole trip.

I second that Larry. The MNSSHP is so much frun. The parade was awesome and the crowds minimal. We love Halloween and we had a great time. Hope to see you there.
