We're landing at 6 am at the airport and we'll be staying on site at Hard Rock hotel. But I think we'll probably miss early entry, is it still a good plan to head straight to Harry potter?
We'll be there the next morning as well until 11 am, then we're off to port canaveral for our Disney cruise. Is it worth buying a 2 park 2 day pass?

Thanks for your help

Early entry is usually one hour before park opening. They usually open the park at 9a.m. which means you have until then to get to the hotel, check in and run to ioa. It's literally a five minute walk. I would definitely still go two days

I'd head to WWOHP first to see if it's "open to the public" or if they are handing out return time tickets. Many people (me included) have experienced that they're able to get in no problem later in the day (no return time ticket required), but it doesn't hurt to go there first and check to see how the crowds are. Since you're there the next morning, you can take advantage of the early entry then to see anything you may have missed.

Since you are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, you will want to take advantage of the Early Park Admission on the next day of your visit to get that extra time at WWoHP. For your arrival day, I would play at the other islands or at Universal Studios with your Universal Express access and wait until later in the evening to see the new Harry Potter section. You can then hit WWoHP in the evening (after 5 PM) or the next morning for the Early Park Admission.

In the morning, everyone goes to this island. If you wait until the evening hours, WWoHP clears out. This is the best way to beat the crowds during your visit to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

Can someone help me? I am trying to post a question for disboards? Where do I go......sorry!

I am new to disboards and have never been to Disneyworld. Going to DW in June 2011 and trying to figure out where to stay? Dining plan or not?

TIA

I apologize for not knowing what I am doing!!

Welcome! If you haven't figured it out yet, you can scroll to the top of any page (on the forums), and at the top, left corner (just above the menu bar and below the header picture, you can click on "The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com" to go to the main page of forums. The area that I'm talking about looks like this at the top of this page: The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com > Universal Studios/Sea World > Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure Forums > When to visit WWOHP? Then scroll down that page to find the WDW theme parks, dining, resort, etc. pages. They are all near the top. Hope that helps!

Look for forums titled "Theme Park Attractions and Strategies", "Disney Resorts", and "Disney Restaurants".

Does it still get crowded to the point where they close the area? We are considering going the 1st week of June. How are crowds then?

Oh, yes. Crowds then will be at least moderate to heavy.
