When to visit WDW...Thanksgiving or week before Xmas 2005? HELP!!

Trying to plan a trip to WDW and am not sure when to go...Thanksgiving week or week before Xmas??? What are the crowds like? Package or not. Off site or Best moderate to stay for kids...any info would help. There is so much information out there that it is driving me crazy!

Hi! Welcome to the DIS!

2004 we went to WDW 12/2-12/16, and it was perfect---full week after T-day, full week before Xmas.

This year we are going 12/11-12/21, and I am more concerned about crowds near the end of the trip. Due to my concern about crowds, but more importantly wanting to make use of EMHs, we are staying onsite. Since my check-in date (12/15 after a cruise) is still Value Season, I'll take advantage of (hopefully) lower rates.

The park hours were pretty short last December, so I'm counting on those extra hours AM and PM to add some ride-time.

I think you will be equal in crowd level so go with which works best for your family.

On-site to take advantage of the EMH's.
