When to visit in Feb 2005

I am wondering...is it better to visit WDW and US (crowd-wise)

Feb 4 - Feb 12

OR

Feb 11 - Feb 19

Any Info would help me alot in planning.

I'd say the 4th through the 12th as the following week you will start to see crowds coming in for winter break and President's Day weekend.

We are staying at Fort Wilderness for both of the 2 weeks you are asking about. From what I have read the crowds are expected to kick in by the Thurs or Fri (17th, 18th). Since we are heading out in the wee hours of the 19th (we are 2 12hr days drive from home), we are thinking to leave the last day to kick back and enjoy the campground, thereby avoiding any increasing crowds in the parks. While I've never been there the entire President's Day weekend before, always before, it sure sounds like it is one of the peak times and I'd expect long lines.

When we first started planning we were only going for 1 week and we chose the first week for the lower crowds....

Hmmm..it seems like a lot of you guys are going that week!!! I hope that doesn't mean it will be crowded by people wanting to by-pass presidents week.

There will be quite a few Louisiana natives there. Our kids are out for Mardi Gras. There is a thread on the resort board about who is going in Feb. It looks like a lot of Disers are going to be there.
