We usually visit in Sept., but next year my daughter will be in high school, so I am trying to avoid taking her out of school for our annual trip. Can you guys give me some impute on whether it would be better to go June 14-24 or Aug. 23-31? Thanks!!:goodvibes

Well, the August dates are cheaper for points.;)

The June dates are Magic season while the August dates fall into Dream season.

Your dates in August will be a bit quieter than your dates in June.

Your dates in August will also be a bit hotter and more humid than June.

I'd do August - it won't be all that much hotter and it will be considerably less crowded.

And as a 9th grade honors-level teacher :teacher: - kudos to you for not taking your child out of school for a vacation. High School moves so fast and ninth grade is such a critical transition - it's really hard for kids to catch up when they miss extended days. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

The thing about the end of August is that's when Disney has been offering the free dining and other promos. Last year (and this year?) some of the vacationers were booked into DVC resorts and although they were not taking points/rooms away from DVCers, some DVCers had mixed opinions about this practice.

Also . . .

If you went in June, you'd have your vacation right away at the beginning summer.

In August, you'd get to anticipate.

I think August would be better since most Southern schools will be open then - so the crowds will be lower.
