When to try and rent points

I am looking to rent points for a **** at *** after Easter 2010. To get that reservation would I need a reservation at the 11 month mark, or would I still be able to get this at the 7 month mark?

You had better book at the 11 month mark. At 7 months out you may get SSR or OKW but it is Easter so I would play it safe and book at the 11 month mark.

If you have your heart set on staying at a certain resort and a certain size unit, I'd book in the 8 - 11 month range. If you're okay with taking a chance, we have had great luck at the 7 month mark (mostly reserve 1-BRs). I got AKV this year for spring break (Easter week - 4/10 - 4/17) at 6 1/2 months out. I will say, though, I think studios go fast.

Last year, we (BIL/SIL and our family) booked at the end of October for late March. The only 2-BR units available were at SSR. I was pleased as punch, however, BIL/SIL are OKW die-hards!
