when to send in my loop request?

Me again.
I have already made my reservation and I am wondering if the "loop request" procedure is the same as that for rooms. (fax in a specific room request no more that 3-5 days before your arrival date)
OR...can/should I send in my request for loop 1500 now? Is there any benefit to sending it now(I.e. first ask, first served) OR will it be more effective if faxed a few days before directly to the resort as opposed to being filtered through the reservation center now?

(our reservations are for late Sept of this year and for partial hook up. That limits me to either 1500 or 2000 anyway and would like to get into 1500 since it is close to the pool, campfire, and trading post.)

No matter what loop I get I will still be happy as heck to be in WDW and on vacation, but why not shoot for the moon, right?!?

If you don't have access to a fax can you call? Who should you ask for? I was planning on faxing but my husband (who could fax from work) is out of town on business til the day we leave (allow me to vent for a moment ). I'd fax from my computer but we have a cable modem and I don't know if there is a way to do that.

We have always camped at FW and every time we go we try and request a loop. The best that they will do is to mark your account with the loop requested (you can call CRO with the request). We have always gotten the loop we requested as well as the site we want (5 years at the same site)!

FW is tries to accomodate everyone. They did tell us that it's usually "first come, first served".

Have a great time - I'm jealous!
