You can order it as late as 3 weeks prior, but honestly, you can order it anytime. It is very simple to transfer more rewards. I have done it standing in the bus line from POP to MK. Takes seconds to do. You can also pick one up upon arrival at Guest Relations, but I think that is a waste of vacation time. It doesn't take long, but I prefer to have it before I arrive.

WE were at WDW last week. I went into Guest Services and they gave me a Reward Card and then I called Chase and told them how much to transfer to the card. Did it all wihin an hour and all at the park.

Paid the bill early a few days ago and requested our rewards card today. Says it will ship to the house on 1/14/13. Driving out beginning of next month. Worked out better than we thought. We charged a ton on it and paid it off each month. Only paid 15 bucks in interest since getting the card a little over a year ago. Got a $200 gift card for signing up and am getting $281.16 in a rewards card. I would say we got our money's worth.

order the card at least a few weeks ahead, just put the minimum on the card to place the order. then to add points is a simple call (i have called while in line to check out!) or simply logon online and transfer as many rewards to the card as you need. just dont transfer too many points since they have a shorter expiration once transferred to the card.

I usually request mine as soon as enough funds ($20) are available, then transfer additional funds to the card through the website.

I order mine about a month ahead of time. I only transfer $20.00 on to the card just in case it would get lost or stolen in the mail. I'm afraid I'm super paranoid about sending my purse through the scanners at the airport,so I don't transfer more until I'm actually down there.

1% of your total purchases. A few years ago,if you spent $149. You only received $1.00, but now they give you $1.49.

Disney Chase used to give certain people 5% for a certain time period if you spent it on gas, groceries. But I never got that offer. I've always had 1%.

If you have the no fee regular Disney Visa, you earn 1% on all purchases. If you have the Premier Disney Visa ($49 annual fee), you earn 2% on gas, groceries, restaurants and Disney purchases, and 1% on all other purchases.

We always spend our first vacation day at DTD, so when we got our Visa I headed to Guest Services, picked up my rewards card and transferred points on the phone in GS.

Thanks for posting this! I went to transfer my rewards for our trip next month and didn't realize my rewards card had expired. Ordered a new card just in time.

You can order the card anytime with a minimum of $10. Then just call and transfer the points whenever it is convenient or just go online and transfer them. Last time we were there, I transferred smaller amounts every day or two (what we were planning to spend)so we wouldn't have to worry about them expiring from the card. Anything left, we went to the Disney Store and bought a gift card for that amount. The Gift cards don't expire.

To add to this (because I know the question will be asked), when you order a rewards card, it will expire at the end of the following year, so whether you order it on Jan. 1, 2013 or Nov.30, 2013, the card would expire Dec. 31, 2014.
