When to rent car

We are going December 2010, is it best to rent a car now, or wait until it gets closer?

There is no deposit required. So book the cheapest rate you can find now. Then just keep your eyes peeled for something that will beat it. My best rate was the day before we left.
But I would imagine off season rates area a lot cheaper that Dcember rates.

Definitely book now, and you can cancel and rebook later if you find a better rate.

Last year I booked 10 months ahead of time, and never got a better rate. The year before that my best rate was about 2 months out.

With alamo at least, you can always apply new coupons to existing reservations (using the modify link), so there's really no harm at all booking ahead of time!

We actually have 2 ressies for our Nov/Dec trip, because we don't know if we're going to be leaving on the 27th or 28th of Nov
