when to register/reserve a room?

I'm training for my first half marathon, but would love to run one of the half marathons at WDW in 2011 or 2012. How early would I have to register/reserve a room to do this? When does registration begin? I assume these races fill up quickly.

Registration in open now for WDW 2011 and for 2012 it will open right after marathon weekend.

Thanks so much. What about the Princess Half? I just went to the web site and didn't see it listed for 2011.
