When to purchase tickets????

We are taking our first trip to WDW in February 2004. I was planning to purchase our tickets in November, but my husband told me I should wait until late January, in the event we can't go. My question is: Do the park-hopper tickets expire? (We are getting 4-day park hopper tickets) I didn't think the tickets expired and told DH that we could use them another time if we can't make our trip. Am I right?

The tickets never expire. I purchased my passes even before I had a set date for our trip. It's one less expense to worry about and I actually beat a few price increases because I bought them last fall.
