When to pay in full for on-line ressies?

Hi Everyone,

I believe that as a returning cruiser, that I can do ressies on-line at 90 days before sailing if I am paid in FULL for the cruise. That date is coming up in just over 2 weeks and I am wondering how long it takes DCL to process a payment through their system. I plan to call and pay with my VISA, but I would prefer to keep my money as long as I can! :) If I pay just a day or two before, will the system know I'm paid up or do I need to pay further out?

One other question - does the "90 days" start at 12:01am Eastern or some other time or just randomly sometime that day?

Thanks for any help!

It appears to be random ... some in our group had their payments post within 2 days, others didn't see their payments hit until 9 days after calling DCL.

I paid off my balance this week and it posted in about 30 seconds.

We used a TA and when I made our final payment at the beginning of June the payment was applied the next business day. I was able to make my ressies at 90 day without any problems.

Just a follow up - DH said, just pay it so you can stop worrying about it! - So I called today and it took about 5 to 10 minutes for it to show a $0.00 ballance due on the website. It looks like they must have the kinks out of the system....

Pdarrah-
My TA is suppose to pay my balance off today. Then will he send me my confirmation number so I can rebook stuff on line? Since I'm a first Disney cruiser, is it 60 days for me?
Can't wait for our cruise in Oct! YEAH!

Hi Amy,

You should be able to get the confirmation number from your TA at any time (before or after it is paid off). To do the on-line stuff at www.disneycruise.com you need to know the confirmation number and the birthday of the "Primary Guest". Your TA should be able to tell you which of you is "Primary". I believe for first time cruisers that it is 75 days before sailing when you can book palo, excursions, etc.

Since I dont' do DCL excursions and am not very interested in the spa, the only thing I really need to get online to book is Palo. I think that you can also book Flounder's Reef online, which might apply to you (I think you have a 2 year old, don't you?) We can register the kids for the club online also, which isn't a "Must do" but will probably be more convenient that doing it the day we board.
