I don't see from Tour Guide Mike anywhere to insert UA/IOA visits. Anywhere to find less busy days at those parks for planning day-to-day itinerary? How about a more general Orlando attraction guide? Can anyone recommend one?

Are you just going for the day or are you moving over to stay at USF? We like to end our WDW trips with a couple of nights at USF when we can - the parks are sooo close to the resorts - no busses! - and when you stay on site they offer FOTL access to all rides all day long - no lines !!

If you are just taking a day trip over I'm pretty sure that, like WDW, the weekend days are busiest at USF also. Check out the Universal forum a little further down the main forums page - there is lots of info for you there and the 'regulars' there can answer any of your questions - Enjoy ! :smooth:

Thanks for the end of wk idea. Think that w/ 7 full days on 2nd trip we'll be able to squeeze in enough time? DD is 13 and DS is 10. I've got to find something to do Sat and Sun, though, since those are the busiest days everywhere last wk March!

Although it is a hassle, try to switch to Universal hotels for your days at Universal.

Their hotels are much handier transportation-wise than Disney's. It really is as quick as driving. We rent a car and use it at Disney, but not at Universal.

Also, you get Front-of-the-Line privledges when you show your room key. You can ride Spider-Man all day long, no waiting.

And the hotels are gorgeous and super-clean.

Also, even if your kids aren't tiny, you oughtta ride The Cat in the Hat. We've all read it, and who doesn't love the fish?

The Unofficial Guide to WDW has a nice section on Universal. Also, the Kelly Monaghan book is good. Universal's website is great, and you can visit the section here on Universal.

I agree with Mouseworshipin! Last year we switched over to Royal Pacific Resort in Universal for just one night to have the front-of-the-line priviledges for two days. It was SO worth it!! (And I own DVC!!!) We are doing that again this year! :woohoo: We rode Mummy Returns and Hulk over and over and it was the week of Christmas!! We did it at the end of the trip and it was really nice for a change of pace.... Anyway, just my 2 cents worth!!! :rolleyes1

Wow! Great advice from everyone! Thanks all. You all are so helpful.

Can these 2 parks be done in less than a day ea if only major attractions?
