When to go

We are trying to decide when to go for a 2 day trip to DL and CA between now and the first of Sept. My husband is deploying then and we would like to fit in some special family time before. We know the two big ride openings that are coming up will effect the crowd levels. We would just like some suggestions of when things might not be too busy.

I think the best idea would be to go before Memorial Day weekend. Except that you will miss the new rides but enjoy the rest of the park. Go on weekday for the lowest crowds or the weekend to see fireworks and Fantasmic.

or go on the very other end of summer you last possible week. Most likely every day will have full entertainment, so avoid a weekend then.

The first week or so of August... The local APs are still blocked, all the entertainment is running every day and the worse of the summer "out of towners" have gone... Also the crowds for LM and ST will reduce lines at the other attractions...

We loved going last summer, we were there end of July & into the first part of August. There were crowds, but not near as bad as we planned on. We got there at opening every day.....gathered FP's to use later when it got busy. Never really an issue & everything was up & running & the full entertainment schedule was running daily. If you can go mid-week, you will have even smaller crowds. Weekends are always busy.

We'd have no problem going back in the summer!!!!
