Reservations are made, a few ADRs, everyone was ready for our Nov-Dec trip.

Then the more I thought about it the more I realized I would prefer it if the kids could get vacation gear, and or gift cards for their Christmas gifts. We also went a about 5 years ago in February and we LOVED it. DH and the kids also LOVE typhoon lagoon but only like blizzard beach, so they were bummed it was closed for refurb.

Ugh

Nov/Dec Pros
We have a GAD pass (FYI we already have no expiration tickets so we have tickets either way, it's just the benifit of a free one)
Christmas at the world seems magical, and we have never been
We already have ADRs
I used a 40% off monster pin :banana:

Feb Pros
Christmas gifts towards our vaca
Spending money for gifts for the kids
Least crowded time of year
Now having to worry about Christmas shopping and the general rushed feeling of the season while at Disney.

:confused3:headache::sad2:

If I thought there was a chance there would be a room only discount in February, I think it would be easier to just make the switch but 40% off is a pretty big deal.

So the big question, WWYD?

(Oh and if you read that novel, thanks :lmao::lmao::lmao:)

I've done both, but prefer the "pre-Christmas" trip as it really gets the entire family in the holiday mood. Feels like it really extends the holiday season. Also, we love the Osborn Family lights.

I think if you got the 40% rooms that you are before the holiday crowd arrives. This is one of the best times because as you mentioned the holiday decor is about.
