How many days prior to visit should you fax in your room preferences? I read on this page that it should be one week, then read four days? Does it make a difference?

My understanding is that the Resort doesn't even get information about your arrival until 5 days before you arrive. That is the reason for the 4 day rule. By that time, the room controller at the Resort has your "file." I've always faxed in 4 or 3 days before my arrival and usually get the basic requests I've made.

It's important to remember that your requests are simply requests. Just because you ask for a corner room on the top floor doesn't mean you'll get it. And you shouldn't be disappointed by that. If you have medical reasons for requesting something (e.g. nonsmoking building or first floor because of a broken leg) that would help.

Enjoy your trip.
