When to do room requests?

This worked well for my Thanksgiving 2003 trip.

Fax requests to resort 30 days out?

Put most important requests 1st?

I wouldn't bother with a fax. From what I read and hear, those are ignored now.

I'd make your requests when you make your reservations, or modify your existing ressie with requests. Then make sure you repeat them when you check in, since there may be a delay between check in time and when you are actually assigned a room.

When I was making my reservation the CM actually asked me if I had any room requests. I told him what I wanted and it is right on my ressie.

Ok, so what if it was booked online using BRP? How would you do the requests?

Just contact reservations and have your requests added.

You can also call the morning that you plan to arrive to make sure that they have the requests noted. It works for us since we are typically 2 hours behind Florida time. We call at 7AM before we get on the plane just to make sure everything is okay. They can look up your ressie for you at that time and you can verify your requests, etc.

I made my ressies for a package through AAA. Should I call my TA and give her the requests to pass along or should I call Dis myself? TIA

Your travel agent will need to make the requests with WDW.

Also, be aware that the more requests you have, the more difficult it is to meet your expectations. Always request what is most important to you first. This is the request they try the hardest to meet. Make your requests more general and less specific - so a particular view not a particular room. And if possible, let them know why you are requesting something, so that if necessary they may substitute something similar and not try to read your mind. And finally, always make requests with the understanding that they are just that, requests not guarantees. If a particular category room is important, for example, that is what you should book.
