When to do MK, marathon weekend

Unfortunately, my dates are what they are this year. We arrive saturday of marathon weekend, but are planning sunday as our first touring day. I am wondering if we can do MK on sunday or if it will be a madhouse. I know next to nothing about marathon weekend, so I'm flying blind here. I know that mondays are bad for MK, but I don't think I can ask my group of mostly first timers to wait more than 2 days to hit MK. Thoughts?

Sunday will be fine. The race starts at 5:30. The last runners should clear MK by 8am or so.

Yep, MK would be a good place to go on marathon day. The rest of the parks will have runners going through during park hours.
