When to check in for CRT if Wishes happening?

I got an 8:15 ADR for dinner at CRT - park closes at 8 that night, and Wishes is at 8. It's our first night and we're all excited to see Wishes, so we don't want to miss it, at least to see the bulk of it, would be okay if we missed the tail end of it.
Anyway... how do we check in for our CRT ressie? Can we still check in right when Wishes ends, or do we really have to check in a good 10,15 minutes ahead of time? I'm assuming we won't be able to check in during Wishes, won't have access to there, right? Could we still check in right at 8:15 at the time of our ressie or is that too late?
Anyone ever had this before or any ideas? thanks!!

I ate there in June, they would not allow us to check-in more than 10 minutes before, we were turned away at 20 minutes. With the pictures in the lobby, I don't think they want it to get crowded. I think you would be OK at 8:15.

I would suggest camping out in The Hub and as soon as Wishes! is over go against traffic and head into the Castle to check in. If need be have the largest person in the group go ahead.
