35 days to go.

When do we call and check on room location? We want a crib for our 16 month old. Request ground floor?

Should I be either getting a call from them or a confirmation letter?

Basically 1 month out, what should I be doing?

You make requests at Disney Reservation Center and that is that. If you get them when you arrive, you get them. They are not guaranteed and you won't know until you check in and go to your room. The crib you are requesting might be a pack and play.

30 days out all you can do is get excited! You can call and confirm that your requests are in the notes but Disney won't guarantee room locations and won't tell you where you wil be until you physically check in. I would think the crib would be a definite and as other person brought out, I believe they are pack and plays. No phone calls or letters will be sent, by now you should have your Magical Express tags so now it's just a countdown to fun.

We have not received anything but a couple emails. we are driving, does that change things?

oh and if its just a pack n play, we will just bring our own, we will be arriving late on a friday night.

If you are not flying, I don't think that you will get anything else. If it makes you feel better, you should call and confirm your reservations. But I think that the only thing you would get in the mail would be if you were flying and using the Magical Express- you would get luggage tags I think. Someone correct me if I am wrong. We have always driven there, and never got any confirmations in the mail, just e-mail. Have fun! Wish we were going!:goodvibes

If you have a package reservation, not a room only, then you will receive a package in the mail from them with some vouchers, we always have when driving. It will have some coupons and basic info but nothing essential. It will come around 20 days before checkin. There will be no call but at 10 days you will get the opportunity to o online checkin.

There is no need to call to confirm and they will not give you room location or number until you checkin. The assigned room can change right up to the point. You have a confirmation number and that is all you actually require. Rest assured that it will all work out.

If you have a vacation package you should have received an email confirming your final payment of the balance owing on its due date (which would have been last week). It would have also repeated all of the information regarding your reservation- number and name of guests, name of resort, tickets for x days, dining plan if purchased, etc.

If you have a room only reservation, you would have received a similar invoice after paying your deposit.

This is all you need to bring with you to check in. You will get an email with an offer to do online check in 10 days in advance. But you will not get your assigned room until you physically show up at the resort.

As a PP said: a vacation package mailing should arrive about 3 weeks out with this same information, some coupons and luggage tags, but there is nothing in it that is vital for your reservation.

Hope this helps.
