When to buy an AP?

Our trip is in two weeks. Is there any reason to buy the AP in advance online or should I just buy it at the ticket gate?

I learned here on the boards to buy a park hopper first and upgrade it at the park. That way you can go to MM. If you get AP with parking or Premium, they will refund your parking for that day.

If you want MM or will have to deal with block out dates then buy a PH and upgrade. If you are staying onsite and don't have block out days then buying it online will save you from having to battle the ticket booth first. You will have to go to the TB at some point that day but you can wait until mid day when lines die down. It's up to you.
