when to book

Hi!
I would like to rent a 1 bedroom OKW for October 2005. Do I need to book it 11 months out or will I have a bit more time. I am just not sure how fast the 1 bedrooms fill up. Any information would be helpful.

If you know when you are going, I would book as early as possible so that you are sure to get what you want. October is obviously not the busiest time because the kids are in school, but the Food and Wine Festival is a big draw.

I just tried to book a studio for the weekend of the 21-24, and there was nothing available. I did not expect to get anything, but figured I would try. Wanted a quick weekend in WDW.

Again - book as early as possible. I am sure you can still find rooms available most times, but better safe than sorry.

While DVC doesn't release any specific information on occupancy levels, the 1Bs are reportedly among the last units to be fully booked. Those with 4 or fewer in their party apparently (as an aggregate) prefer the Studios, while many 2B bookings are actually a 1B plus a studio.

October is popular, but the Epcot resorts will fill up before OKW. I'd start looking for a rental after the first of the year.
