When to book?

Is it better to book hard to get places like multiple room villas now for 2013, or wait until packages and deals come out? I would really like to get some sort of discount. We do have a retired military person going so I am hoping that Disney will extend the military discount. If I book now, will I be less likely to get a discount?

Rent points from David's DVC rentals. It will be 50% or greater savings ove r booking through Disney.

Look on the DVC Rent/Trade under Disney Vacation Club on the boards here if you want more info on renting.

Renting DVC you need to set up ASAP--7-11 months out, for best availablilty.
Booking through Disney, you get what is left that members have not booked.

I looked at renting points, but it was only 33% savings over Diisney's quote, and there is no cancellation policy. I much prefer the ability to change or cancel if necessary.

Is that all? I am very surprised. I also saw your other thread, and am VERY surprised at how many people said they got 35-40% discounts for Treehouse Villas. People on DVC boards complain about lack of availability at Treehouse Villas, so I would not expect Disney would have any to book, especially with any discount. I have not tried to book there, so just going off other posts. Learn something new everyday.

Plus maid service is extra! I'll be dammed if I'm making my own bed on vacation.
