Hi every one.

Been to WDW 3 times now and always gone with a TA. Looking at going Sep 2017 and booking everything our self.

I understand we can't book flights until October. We will want to stay onsite and take advantage of the free Disney dinning. Also the 200 dollars offer.

When should we book what.

We are fully flexible about when exactly we go in September so we can move dates to get best price on flights. But if we wait until October to book hotel will we have missed all the good offers.

Thanks every one.

The $200 dollar offer is only until July I believe and then it goes down to $100 until September when it's no longer offered.

To take advantage of the free dining you need to book through Disney UK and they are currently also doing 14 day ultimate ticket (so park hopper, water parks, one round of mini golf a day) for the price of 7 days so I would recommend just going onto the website to do it. It's very quick and easy.

So long as there is availability moving the dates around for flights shouldn't be too difficult and you can just phone Disney to change if needs be.

If you are planning to book via Disney direct, keep in mind that you have until 7th July to book the UK package - free dining & $200 gift card.

After that, I think the free dining offer reminds and the $200 gift card drops to $100 gift card.

I booked our trip for this year last May before flights were available. When flights did come out, I had to phone Disney to see about moving our dates because there were no flights for the original dates book. I didn't have to pay anything extra to move dates as the price of the holiday remained the same. Disney are very flexible if you need to make changes.

So I could book everything now and take advantage of all the offers then when flights come out Disney will let me change the dates to suit the flights?

Thanks for all your help

I believe you can also contact Disney & ask them for a quote for flights when they come out.

But yes you can book now, and arrange the flights once they come out. Just give Disney a call if your dates need to be changed and they will help you out.

Also, phone Disney before you book your flights - just to make sure there is availability etc.

You can book now and amend dates later subject to availability.

Some resorts/room types do sell out so you might not be able to move your dates and there might be a balance. Not flying at the weekends will save a bit but will require more annual leave for a 14 night holiday (assuming your work monday -friday).

We booked our trip during similar circumstances.
So booked the Disney package last June, flights followed October and then just all the ADRs etc. when the dates allowed.
Disney said we could also contact them if there were any issues with the flights and we needed anything changing. It was all very easy and now we can profit from all the bonus stuff we got on top :)

Btw: what's that with free mini golf?

If you change your dates and it becomes a cheaper package I think there is an amendment fee with Disney. Doesn't apply if you change dates and your overall price increases.

I was told if it's due to flight times, the fee might not be appilable - but that was when I booked the flights through them (which I didn't end up doing). But if the flight prices are the same, it's definitely the safer option

In terms of when to book flights, obviously the details are released however many months out but cost-wise, is it better to book as soon as they are released or leave it to nearer the time and hope that the price drops once the initial rush dies down? We're looking at August 2017 and happy with either direct or (more likely) indirect flights.

We are flying indirectly as well, just worked out much cheaper and convenient (less travel outside of airports). Although I'm not a fan of hoping of prices dropping closer to the time, I believe the best time to book is asap at the 11 month mark.
