When to book room for 2004?

Hi, I'm not quite sure if we will be staying at a moderate or a deluxe. I would like to stay at Wildreness lodge in September or October 2004 depending on when we can get a good deal. I know the codes and discounts don't come out early but do you just book a room and hope something comes along better. If we can't get a discounted room then we will be staying at a moderate. Which I would be happy with just the same. I wasn't even sure my husband would let us go next year but he said yes as long as it was late 2004.
We have been the past two years in May and he didn't want to go next year he wanted to wait til 2005 but he gave in I think I made him feel bad or something. I have never stayed at a Deluxe and where I have extra time to save if we get a code we probaly can afford it.
Also any information on Wildrness lodge of Animal Kindgdom Lodge please feel free to help me out.. Thanks again Kelly

Hi Kelly-

My advice is to stay on this board and watch for any discounts that might come out, or check mousesavers.com (they list codes as soon as they are available, I have mousesavers as my homepage to be sure I don't miss anything). Last year and the year before we started going at the end of August, when value season starts, I remember that in 2001 a code came out in about Mar or Apr, I think it was one anyone could use, and I got CBR for 107.00/ night for a King room, then last year, I first booked the AP rate when it came out for about $2 more than in 2001 for the same room, but in July (I believe it was in July) a code came out that anyone could use, so I switched it to that code because my room rate was exactly the same, thus I didn't need to renew my AP. You can book now if you want, but I would call CRO to do so, then when a code (hopefully) comes out, you can always call them and have the ressie changed using the code. Hope this helps.

By the way...we are going in August of 2004 and I still haven't booked our room yet, mostly because we are still undecided on where we want to stay, at first I was set on OKW, but now my DH says he has always wanted to try BC or BWI. As soon as we figure that out I will book, but I am not in a big hurry, as long as I have something booked by May. If you are going during value season, there should not be a problem getting a decent room, I'd be concerned if it were during peak. Happy planning!
