When to book for January?

I apologize if this is already in a thread somewhere - I tried searching and couldn't seem to find it.

I'm wondering when WDW resorts will start booking for January 2013? Is it normally in June? Thanks in advance!!

Hi...I am also traveling in January. You can book a room only now. You will have to do it by phone & you will need to leave a deposit. Once packages come out (usually end of July beginning of August) you can then book a package. They will cancel your reservation then re-book it with the package. I was told that the benefit of booking the room now is so that when the packages come out, you will be guaranteed a room in the resort you chose. If I am incorrect please someone jump in.
