When to book flight for holiday travel?

I am traveling from Newark to MCO around the holidays probably leaving Newark Dec 26th. When is the best time to book flights?? They are already expensive (cheapest I'm seeing is jetblue for $600+ per ticket!! If I wait I'm afraid they will increase or get sold out. I don't usually travel around this time of year. Please advise.

That time of year from EWR? I'd get them now and then monitor later to see if prices come down so you might be able to get some credit. But over the years, not sure we've seen them go down much for travel in late December through early Jan.

Go to Google Flights to see if the price is reasonable. Sure sounds like it is. Last year a flight from LGA -MCO was about 800.00 r/t so I took Amtrak down on 12/19 and flew back up on the 01/02.
