We are planning on using our banked 2009/current 2010/some borrowed 2011 points to go on a June, 2010 cruise. I have a February UY, so I assume that I'm going to have to wait until February, 2010 to book the cruise so I can have the option to borrow 2011 points. Typically, I know that cruises (especially the summer cruises) sell out quickly so I'm a bit worried that the cruise will sell out before February, 2010, but I guess if it does we'll have to just make other plans. Still, I was writing to ask if I'm correct in my determination of when I can book this cruise. Also, I assume that DVC points cruises are not eligible for stateboard credits? If anyone can please confirm that as well, that would be appreciated. Thank you. :goodvibes

Your booking dates can be found on the member website under My Membership > Vacation Points. When I sign on today, it tells me:

Currently, you may request a reservation for a Disney Cruise Line® vacation that has a sail date on or before June 14, 2011, some sailings may not be available for booking at the 24-month window.

Call MS and ask about how you can pay for a June 2010 cruise..

I think they routinely make some exceptions (re borrowing rules) for those booking cruises.

I don't think you have to wait until February 2010 to book, even if you will need 2011 points to pay for the cruse.

Worth a call. MS is open today (Sunday).

You do not have to wait to book the cruise. Typically, if the dates are published, then you can usually book it.

For example, I booked my July 2010 cruise in October 2008, on the first day they began booking those summer Baltic and Med cruises.

Whether you are seeking the 3/4 day cruises that summer that will sail the Bahamas, or the Med or Baltic, they have been going quickly. The reason being, with the Magic in Europe that summer, the Wonder is all that is left cruises leaving Port Canaveral for the Bahamas.

I would call asap.
