When to book airfare for Aug. (21-28)

I am sooo confused on when to book for Aug. 21-28.....I have given up flying out of Newark due to high fares and times....

Going with Philly and deciding between AirTran, US Air or Southwest...the fares keep fluctuating and not sure when to book?

Also...is it better to book through the airlines or book the air with the Disney Reservation Package? any thoughts?

Well it sounds like you are doing what I did and I'm sure what everybody else does and that was to monitor the flights for awhile and see if the prices would drop. I did this for a couple of months and like you said the price flucuated up and down and I finally booked about a month ago mostly due to the OPEC issue. I wasn't sure what effect that would have on the airfares and I didn't want to gamble any longer. There's no guarantee the prices will drop so in my opinion the longer you wait the riskier it is.
To answer your other question...I would check BOTH the internet and call the airline of your choice directly. I have found in the past that you can sometimes get the airfare cheaper by calling the airline directly believe it or not.


In case you are wondering I booked my flight from Boston to Orlando in August for $190 round trip non stop on Delta Song.
I didn't want to patience to wait and see if it would drop any lower so I booked it. Plus like I said I didn't want to gamble either.
