When to add dining plan?

We have a one night room only reservation the night before our free dining reservation. I would like to add the dining plan to the room only reservation. When should I do that? I know it will change to a package but I am not sure what that means as far as when we have to pay and such. Thanks!

The latest you can do it is 72 hrs before arrival. Once you're within 30 days, you will have to pay the full price when you call to add it. Anything outside of 30 days, changes your reservation to a package which requires (I think) a $200 deposit and must be paid in full at 30 days out. Cancellation rules are different too, but I don't have those in my brain.

Do it ASAP at your convenience. Never know when their systems will be down, when you might call to find a 30 min wait, etc. No reason to delay. Money will be due the day before the one for your free dining reservation.
