& you've already booked at a higher rate, will they give you a credit to be used only at the resort on food, shopping, or for future stays? How does this work?
thanks.

If the rate drops, you have to phone and get your rate lowered. I do not think it will be lowered for you unless you ask. Normally, only one night's stay is charged in advance. They will credit your bill so that when you check out, you only pay what you are supposed to.

Do you phone the resort or Loews? Or does it depend how you made the original reservation? Mine was by telephone to the resort (RPR)

Which makes me also ask - where do you check the APH rates? On the Universal site or the Loews site, or do they both show the same search result?

I would call the resort or Loews or Universal. If you booked through an outside operator I imagine you would have to go through them.

You can check for APH rates on Loews website or universalorlando website, just type in the APH in the code box. You should get the same price.

I just did this so I found out first hand.
We are staying RPH and originally booked at 234.82 per night, 1 night deposit charged to CC. When they announced APH rate, I called. They gave me the new rate of 154.45(tax included).

Now the catch, they do recharge another whole nights stay and ten refund the first deposit you left. Unlike Disney they do not adjust and leave a credit against the room.

I found this out by calling accounting to verify ny CC was credited after I saw the secodn deposit charge.
