When the park closes at midnight, when do shops close?

I am thinking of heading up after work on Sunday for a few hours to catch the lights and maybe F!, but the main purpose for the trip is to do some Christmas shopping. The park is open until midnight, but I know from past experience that some of the shops close before that. Are the big stores, like the ones in Adventureland, Tomorrowland, and Main St. open until park closing, or do they close sooner? I'd hate to get there at 8:00 PM only to find they close at 10:00 or something.

The ones in the lands are open until park closing. The Main street shops are open for at least 30 minutes after closing.

Main Street shops and World of Disney in DTD are both opened an hour after the park closes. The shops in the lands will be closing upon park close but you can usually find an open register in there somewhere.

I've always heard that mainstreet is open for at least one hour after official closing times.

That is usually the case but, don't don't be surprised to see some of the smaller shops on main street closing a little earlier, especially if it is not busy. Also if there is a private event that evening shops will not remain open but, that is rare.

I never saw any of the smaller shops on MS close earlier than an hour after park closing, that meant that as we were walking down MS at 12:55 am (after riding our last ride of the night) the shops were still open. And they don't kick you out at 1 if you're shopping, the stores will remain open until everyone has finished shopping. We almost always closed the parks down so we saw this a lot, we walked thru the shops on our way almost every day because we are big pin traders and we'd always walk the shops in the morning and evenings to look for pins.

We stayed until 1:00 one night. We had a hot dog and soda and then walked through all the shops. It's a GREAT time to go not many people and it's just a lot of fun. We plan to do it again next week

We've done the same as summer has - when the parks close at midnight, we've stayed in the park during that extra hour. It's beautiful when it's dark, with the twinkling lights in the trees around the partners statue, and no one around the castle..

We've stayed even just in the HUB, and used that time to get pictures in front of the castle (using a tripod and slr for low light capabilities). The shops on MS have always been open as we left.
