When the Cookie Monster strikes....

My family makes cookies my grandma used to make like spritz cookies and "ting-a-lings"(like chocolate covered asian noodles)

That.
They're really good.
You need a pizzelle maker thing to make them though.
You use vanilla, anise or lemon extract to flavour them.
They taste really good too.

OMG! :D

Do you guys put powdered sugar on yours?

We do....and I usually get it all over the place while I'm putting it on. Including the counter....floor....me....the dogs....and pretty much what ever else happens to be around at the time. It's fun tho. ^__^

Mmm. They look really yummy.
Also very pretty looking too.

I wonder where prizzelles originated from.

They reminded me of Doilies that older women use around their living room.

I did a google search under 'thin waffles' and got an image here at DISboards.com

Just thought I'd comment that they look like doilies!

A friend that owns a WaffleMan truck business that sells Waffle-Ice-Cream sandwiches at fairs and other carnival events gave me about half-a-dozen prizzelles that had anise added into them - Mmm Good! betcha they'd even be alot better with maple syrup and strawberry preserves and chocolate syrup as well!
